THE EDITORIAL LENS

Good taste. Clear sources.

We look for a culinary point of view: the chef, the ingredient, the regional story or the craft behind the bar.

What earns a place

Distinctive cooking, thoughtful drinks and a reason to return. Our picks draw on food writers, local curators and restaurant and bar awards. Each listing explains why it belongs, links to its sources and shows photography of the venue.

How the shortlist is ordered

The shortlist and Worth dining at begin with up to four dining openings from the past 60 days, selected for culinary focus and editorial evidence, then ordered by their opening reports. Cafés, bakeries and coffee shops have their own collections. Our strongest recommendations follow, informed by critical recognition, independent editorial coverage and culinary focus. A recent mention alone does not make a place a new opening.

New discoveries and lasting favourites

New openings have an opening report from the past 180 days. Trending now highlights coverage within the past 45 days. Specialty coffee picks have a documented roasting, sourcing or brewing programme; serving coffee alone does not qualify. Established favourites remain for their food, drinks and character. Tasting menu listings link to menu or booking information; courses and availability may change. Listening rooms includes dedicated spaces and venues with recurring vinyl programmes.

The next arrivals

Coming soon follows announced restaurants, distinctive cafés, cocktail bars and listening rooms in our twelve cities. Each pick links to its announcement and explains what makes it worth watching. Dates are expected opening plans and can change. These places join the dining shortlist only once service is confirmed.

Keeping the guide useful

We add verified discoveries and remove confirmed closures. Opening reports are not exact launch dates. Check current service and reservations directly with the venue before visiting.
